Protect your outdoor hoist
Hoists kept outdoors face a range of difficulties. Exposure to the elements including ice, snow, rain and condensation can cause electrical components to short-circuit and motors, limit switches, pendants and control enclosures to fill with water and corrode.
Protect your investment and ensure your hoist’s operation with a Hoist Shelter to cover your hoist and provide necessary protection from precipitation and sunlight.
Model: HS3060 Hoist Shelter
Our hoist shelters keep outside hoisting equipment covered, protecting them from the elements, reducing downtime and extending the life of your equipment. Hoist Shelter Model HS3060 offers the following features:
- Size: 5 feet long x 2.5 feet wide
- Materials: Galvanized sheet metal roof and frame, UV-resistant PVC weather stripping sides.
- Installation: By purchaser, instructions provided
- PDF Drawing Download
How to choose the right size Hoist Shelter
As a rule for sizing, we recommend choosing a Hoist Shelter that will cover one to two feet in each direction around your hoist. This will allow for adequate weather protection as well as air circulation.
A model #HS3060 Hoist Shelter is best suited to cover a wire rope hoist, such as a Harrington wire rope hoist or an R&M wire rope hoist.
Hoist Shelter Benefits
Our outdoor hoist shelters provide an economical and effective way to protect an outside hoist from the negative effects of the weather. Benefits of using a hoist shelter to cover your outdoor hoist include:
- Protection from precipitation and sunlight that leads to condensation inside the hoist
- Galvanized steel roof and UV-resistant PVC siding provide a durable, lasting cover
- Cost savings on replacement and maintenance services for the hoist’s lifetime
- Use in addition to weather-proof coating on the hoist for especially corrosive environments
- Add years of life to an outdoor hoist
