Free Bridge Crane Specifications
Shupper-Brickle Equipment
Updated Jan 2024 | Shupper-Brickle Equipment is pleased to provide these free engineering specifications for a top running single girder bridge crane and underhung single girder bridge crane, compliant with ANSI B30, OSHA, the AWS and the NEC.
Purpose of These Bridge Crane Specs
An industrial bridge crane or overhead crane is a permanent material handling system built into a production space or warehouse and composed of a bridge beam, runways, and a trolley hoist. The purpose of this free specification is to provide clear, concise, and accurate crane system information for bidding and procurement.
This spec was created for use by architects and engineers for project development. However, it's also useful for end-users to assist in getting the right equipment, and we welcome engineering students to use it as needed.
How to Use These Bridge Crane Specs
The equipment in this spec could have a range of duty from CMAA Class A (infrequent use) to CMAA Class C (moderate use). This spec could be modified for CMAA Class D (heavy use). And while the spec was created for the most common industrial power source (three-phase electricity), it could also be modified for pneumatic power. Please contact us for questions on changing this spec for your application.
When filling in the spec form, please note:
>Blank spaces (____) should be completed with the information necessary for your application
>Underlined options or choices (indoors, outdoors) should be narrowed down to only what's relevant
As always, the old adage "garbage in, garbage out" applies. The equipment and its performance will only be as good as the initial information.
Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about your project or bridge crane system.
